Your journey begins with a highly scenic 4.5-hour drive from New Jalpaiguri Station (NJP), climbing along the roaring Teesta River into the crisp mountain air where your first evening is spent unwinding amidst the vibrant, car-free café culture of MG Marg. The middle of your trip shifts focus beautifully, taking you from the high-altitude, snow-bordered wonders of Tsomgo Glacial Lake (12,400ft) and the sacred Baba Mandir on day two, to a deep cultural immersion on day three that features panoramic views of Mount Kanchenjunga from Tashi View Point, the grand courtyards of Rumtek Monastery, and the rushing cascades of Ban Jhakri Falls. Day 1

NJP to Gangtok & MG Marg Evening

The Drive: Pickup from NJP Station for a 4.5-hour scenic drive along the Teesta River up to Gangtok (5,410 ft).

Evening: Check into your hotel, then head to MG Marg, Gangtok’s clean, vehicle-free pedestrian high street, for local cafés and authentic Sikkim momos .

Day 2

Alpine Excursion to Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir

Morning: Drive up to Tsomgo Lake (12,400 ft), a stunning high-altitude glacial lake. You can take a yak ride along its banks.

Afternoon: Visit the nearby Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir, a sacred military shrine deeply revered by locals and the army.

Evening: Return to Gangtok to relax or explore the local markets.

Day 3

Gangtok City & Cultural Sightseeing

Morning Views: Start at Tashi View Point for panoramic vistas of Mount Kanchenjunga, followed by the ancient Rumtek Monastery.

Culture & Nature: Visit Do Drul Chorten Stupa (surrounded by 108 prayer wheels) and the Namgyal Institute of Tibetology. Wrap up at the lush Ban Jhakri Waterfalls

Day 4

Gangtok to NJP Departure

Payments Terms

To confirm your trip booking with Curated Routes, a 50% advance payment is required once the tour package is finalized. This advance helps us secure hotel reservations, transportation, permits, and other travel arrangements.
The remaining payment schedule is as follows:
20% payment to be made 4–7 days before the trip start date.
20% payment to be made on the first day of the trip.
The final 10% payment to be cleared at the end of the trip.
For booking confirmation, all travelers are required to provide a valid government-issued identity proof (Aadhar Card, Passport, Voter ID, Driving License, etc.).
As your bookings are confirmed, we will share the necessary travel vouchers and booking confirmations. A detailed final invoice will be provided upon completion of the trip.
